That sequence is the nuts! I can't believe we never thought of that before. This changes everything for me (if Logitech will allow me to do it using my Harmony One).

I'm in the UK, and I'll order as soon as it's available.

They will let you and when enough people ask they will just add the option. Sometimes you can ask for a refernce number and give that to others so when you call logitech you can give them the ref # and they will be able to see what you want based on the work they did for somebody else.

Wow, what a productive thread. Smile The Harmony guys have always been extremely helpful. They were a very customer oriented company before Logitech bought them, and things only seem to have gotten better now.

I have an 880. I'll be buying this product for sure. Smile

This is great news Bruce -- I appreciate the forward thinking and hard work you are putting into this. Sony's shortsightedness will hopefully pay off for you.

I will keep my eyes peeled for the product when you get it released, so good luck, and I hope everything goes as planned.

I bought my PS3 primarily as a BD Player, and I think this will appeal to many people.

Yup, I'm seeing it. Funny - they never contacted me to confirm everything. It look like they got the power down sequence correct. I'll be trying it out in the next few days so stay tuned.

It's really in their db!

Just go for Game Console -> IR2BT -> IR2BT, voila you are there!

Even the PowerOff Sequence is right!

But unfortunately they haven't integrated the icon displays for "Square, Circle, Triangle, X" and Red, Blue, Green, Yellow have no right mapping (and no icons either).

Any chance to add those?

Can't wait to get my hands on your device...

Regards
Falko

How can you see the PowerOff sequence? I have added IR2BT as a device, but I dunno how to view the sequence. I only got my Harmony today -- proper noob!

Go to Devices -> Settings -> Adjust power settings
Choose "I want to turn off... " -> Next
Choose "A button on the remote for on..." -> Next
Choose "I don't have the original..." (leave PowerToggle selected) -> Next
Voila, here you go!

@Bruce:
Any idea how we can make the Logitech guys to
1. add the colour buttons (currently they are named to the mapped PS2 names)
2. add icons for the colour buttons (like you have it for Teletext on TVs)
3. add icons for the PS3 specific logos (like with the PS2 settings)
?

Thx in advance

I'll get in touch with Logitech to get these changes made.

Could you elaborate/detail #2 and #3 a little more? I've got both a 670 and an 880 but am not sure exactly what you're looking for here.

Thanks,

Bruce...

Sure, I'll give it a try (since I cannot attach pictures):
With Logitech Harmony One (and probably other Harmonies) you have a touch screen on top of the RC boasting six buttons.
Each of these buttons can be individually assigned, by function and text.

Now if you choose to assign special functions, like Circle, Square, Triangle, X and Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, these buttons will become neat icons instead of plain text.

For PS2 and PS3 devices a green triangle, a pink square, a red circle and a blue X will be displayed.
For TV devices (with teletext) a red, a green, a blue and a yellow dot will be displayed.

So basically each of these functions is linked to a specific icon/button that will always be used for display (instead of text, no matter what you enter).
These icons are much nicer than having plain text there!

Unfortunately these icons are hard-wired within the device database, so it is Logitech that has to assign such icons to the appropriate functions.

Hope I could explain it well enough.

Edit: BTW, those icons are available in Activities only! They won't display in Devices...
